Rebuilding Coventry

The Adrian Mole books by Sue Townsend are among my very favorite books. They are utterly hilarious. I also loved The Queen and I. So I was expecting to like this book since I find Ms. Townsend's writing very funny. It was about a housewife, Coventry, who accidently killed her neighbor and her life on the run in London. It was a short book but I almost gave up on it. When I was about to give up on it, I skipped ahead a little and read some and that kept me interested in the book. It was more weird than funny to me. The last 20 or so pages did go fast and I wanted to see what happened. A strange little book.
